Position Overview We are a Chicago based firm seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various practice areas including personal injury, civil litigation, toxic tort, product liability, and medical malpractice. The position involves representing clients in litigation, conducting legal research, and collaborating with senior attorneys to develop case strategies. Key Responsibilities - Represent clients in court and during legal proceedings
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings and motions
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategies and legal arguments
- Manage a caseload with a variety of litigation matters
- Communicate with clients regarding case developments and legal options
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients when appropriate
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD)
- Admitted to practice in the state of IL
- 4+ years of litigation experience
- Strong understanding of personal injury, civil rights, or liability law
- Experience with mass tort and medical malpractice cases is a plus
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
