FREE YMCA Membership

QUALIFICATIONS: Strong interpersonal skills, solid verbal and written communications skills, knowledgeable in the realm of fitness, and current acceptable personal training certification

BASIC FUNCTION: Administer wellness programming for all ages of YMCA members

in accordance to the association mission, goals and objectives.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform effective Personal Training sessions
• Make sure proper paperwork is completed before conducting training sessions with clients
• Be aware of the YMCA programs and schedules and willingly share the information with participants

• Suggest improvements, safety concerns with equipment, and other ideals that will increase membership
• Light troubleshooting with fitness equipment if malfunctioning
• Monitoring exercises being performed by members and offering suggestions for improved techniques and ensuring their safety
• Attend trainings and staff meetings when scheduled
• Enforce all Wellness Center rules

• Schedule appointments with personal training clients

• Maintain professional conduct and a neat appearance consistent with the Wellness Dress Policy

• Maintain direct communication to supervisor
• Be social with all members
• Will perform all other functions as assigned, relative to the welfare of the association
• Must maintain updated CECs (Continuing Education Classes) to maintain your current status with the YMCA standards for Personal Training including CPR.
