Quality Control Specialist

We are seeking a Quality Control Specialist to support quality verification through inspection and measurement of products produced for internal and external customers.
Job SummaryThe Quality Control Specialist is responsible for performing inspections, measurements, and documentation to verify products meet specifications and quality standards. This role supports continuous improvement through clear communication, identifying nonconformities, and coordinating corrective actions.
ResponsibilitiesRead, understand, and apply basic specifications and product requirements relevant to steel processing and fabrication.
Inspect product quality, identify nonconformities, and initiate corrective action according to company procedures.
Review and analyze inspection results to determine potential causes of nonconformity when required.
Communicate across departments to support timely resolution of quality issues and promote teamwork.
Identify opportunities to improve quality, productivity, and consistency through continuous improvement efforts.
Ensure quality activities follow company policies and applicable standards and safe work practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to accurately use and read calipers and micrometers .
Strong tape-measure reading ability and basic math skills.
Ability to read blueprints (preferred) or willingness to learn.
Prior manufacturing experience or machine shop experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
