PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·         Drive an Installation Truck

·         Lead a 2-man crew for job site installations

·         Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification

·         Communicate with Project Manager and Superintendent to install components per code and quality required by JD Stairs.

·         Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements

·         MIG and TIG weld steel, aluminum and stainless-steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings

·         Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.

·         Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and job site.

·         Follow all company rules and policies

·         Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.

·         Follow all safety rules and quality standards

·         Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency

·         Lift raw materials, final products, and items into place

·         Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.

 

Essential Qualifications

 

·         5 Years’ Installation Experience

·         Experience with steel, aluminum and/or stainless steel required

·         Proficiency in MIG welding is required and TIG welding is preferred.

·         Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds consistently required.

·         Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods

·         Ability to identify and measure material

·         Ability to produce quality products consistently

·         Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form

·         Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic

·         Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses

·         Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges

Physical Requirements

 

 

·         Stand or walk for long periods of time

·         Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects

·         Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance

·         Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl

·         See well (naturally or with correction)

·         Eye-hand coordination

·         Good physical fitness

·         Good sense of balance

·         Work at heights

 

Environment: Manufacturing Workers perform physically demanding work including lifting and carrying heavy objects, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling in awkward positions. Some work at heights, or outdoors in all weather conditions. Some jobs expose workers to harmful fumes, odors, loud noise, or dangerous machinery. To avoid injury, workers in these jobs wear safety clothing, such as gloves, hardhats, protective chemical suits, and devices to protect their eyes, respiratory system, or hearing
