Tomatito Mexican Food in San Diego, CA is looking for one dishwasher to join our 15 person strong team. We are located on 2989 Coronado Ave. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and engaged.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, flatware, pots or pans by hand
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area
• Follow health and safety guidelines
• Sort and stack clean dishes; Carry clean dishes to proper storage areas
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using a dishwasher or by hand.
• Maintain adequate levels of dishwashing detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in designated storage areas.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for both dining and kitchen operations.
• Keep work areas, equipment, and kitchen utensils clean and organized at all times.
• Handle dishes carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
• Clean food preparation and production areas as needed.
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated collection areas.
• Clean trash containers with water.
• Sweep, scrub, or mop floors.
• Receive and store supplies.
• Store supplies such as food or utensils in service stations, storage areas, and refrigerators.
• Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, either manually or using hand carts.
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and provide suggestions for improvement.
• Coordinate and assist co-workers to meet customer needs and support restaurant operations.
• Cover shifts or assist co-workers when necessary to ensure guest service standards and operational efficiency.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as a dishwasher
• High integrity with a great attendance record
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
