The Role

This role is the bridge between cutting and quality .

As a Deburring & Finishing Operator , you run the Lissmac , hand‑finish when needed, and stage parts so production keeps moving. When this role is done right, tables stay clear, QC stays efficient, and Burn Bay flows. When it’s not, everything backs up.

This is hands‑on, physical work that matters.

What You’ll Do

• Operate and maintain deburring and surface‑finishing machines
• Load and position steel parts manually or with cranes
• Adjust machine settings to maintain consistent edge quality and surface finish
• Inspect parts for cleanliness, edge condition, and defects
• Use hand tools (grinders, sanders, deburring tools) when machine finishing isn’t enough
• Label, stack, and stage material correctly for traceability
• Clear tables so burn and crane operations don’t stall
• Communicate quality, workflow, or equipment issues immediately
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all PPE requirements

• You pay attention to details: marking, staging, and finish quality matter
• You work well with others and step in where needed

Required Qualifications

• Comfortable with physical, repetitive work in hot, cold, and noisy conditions
• Able to safely handle steel parts and use hand tools
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Willing to learn and improve

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience in a steel shop, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
• Deburring, grinding, or finishing experience
• Machine operation experience

First Shift: Monday - Friday / 7:00am - 3:30pm
Second Shift (with shift premium): Monday - Friday / 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Third Shift (with shift premium): Sunday - Thursday / 11:00pm - 7:30am
