Assistant Store Manager | Gavel Western Wear (McAllen, TX)

We are a customer service company that happens to sell the finest western apparel and our own handcrafted Gavel Boots. We are looking for a high-energy leader to join our McAllen flagship team and help us drive the next chapter of our story.
The Role
As the Assistant Store Manager (ASM) , you are the right hand to the Store Manager and a mentor to our sales team. You won't just be "monitoring" tasks—you will be driving the energy on the floor, ensuring every customer who walks in feels like family, and keeping our operations as sharp as our boots.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive the Floor: Lead by example on the sales floor, identifying customer needs and closing sales with expert product knowledge.
• Team Leadership : Support the Store Manager in supervising and motivating the sales team to hit (and exceed) performance goals.
•Store Excellence: Take pride in the store’s "stage presence." This includes visual merchandising, organization, and ensuring the store reflects our premium brand standards.
• Operational Flow: Manage inventory replenishment, process orders with precision, and solve customer challenges with grace and speed.
• Execution: Turn company directives into action, ensuring the back-of-house is as organized as the front-of-house.
What We’re Looking For
• Bilingual Professionals : Native-level fluency in both English and Spanish is required to serve our diverse RGV community.
• Retail Veterans : 1–2+ years of retail leadership or high-volume sales experience.
• High-Energy Mentors: You don’t just tell people what to do; you show them how it’s done with a positive, "can-do" attitude.
