We are actively seeking an Assistant Center Manager with current or recent UPS Store experience to help run day-to-day operations of our new franchise in San Antonio. Key Responsibilities
Customer Service Excellence
- Provide world-class customer service to all customers
- Help manage Pack and Ship Services, Mailbox Services, and Print Services
- Process shipping orders using UPS/FedEx/USPS systems
- Handle freight services and oversized shipments
- Perform notary services (we'll support your certification if needed)
- Assist with passport photos and document shredding
- Build relationships with regular customers and small businesses
Operational Support
- Help the Center Manager run day-to-day center operations
- Contribute to achieving sales and service targets
- Help manage center financials and expense control
- Assist with inventory management and merchandising
- Open and close the center as required
- Help maintain UPS Store operational compliance and standards
- Support cash handling and daily reconciliation procedures
Team Collaboration
- Help with personnel management and training of new associates
- Support scheduling and work assignment coordination
- Contribute to weekly or monthly staff meetings and operational improvements
- Know how to listen, follow, lead, and help the Center Manager attain defined targets
- Assist with local store marketing program implementation
- Foster positive team environment during shifts
Required Qualifications
- 1 year retail store operations experience OR 2 years customer service/retail experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Available to work flexible schedule including Saturdays
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office; ability to learn Adobe Suites
- Strong customer service orientation and phone skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
- Professional appearance and communication skills
- Must demonstrate ability to "listen and lead"
Strongly Preferred Qualifications - UPS Store Experience Priority
- CURRENT OR RECENT UPS STORE EMPLOYMENT (HIGHEST PRIORITY)
- Specific UPS Store experience we're seeking:
- Current UPS Store Associate or Assistant Manager
- Former UPS Store employee within last 2 years
- Experience with UPS Store POS and shipping systems
- Knowledge of Pack and Ship procedures and best practices
- Familiarity with Print Services operations
- Understanding of Mailbox Services and related regulations
- Experience meeting UPS Store performance standards
- Previous experience at FedEx Office, PostalAnnex+, or similar operations also valued
- Supervisory experience in logistics or retail environment
- Bilingual Spanish/English capabilities
- Some college coursework in business or related field
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000 annually (higher range for UPS Store experienced candidates)

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs regularly

- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
Work Schedule
- Full-time position: 35-40 hours per week
- Rotating schedule including Saturdays (center closed Sundays)
- Typical shifts: Opening (7:30am-3:30pm) or Closing (12:00pm-8:00pm)
- Holiday coverage required (excluding major holidays when closed)
- Schedule flexibility required during peak seasons
